Founded in 1984, HYPACK, INC (formerly Coastal Oceanographics, Inc.) has evolved from a small hydrographic consultant to one of the most successful providers of hydrographic and navigation software worldwide. Hypack 2015 Install HYPACK® SURVEY provides all of the tools necessary for planning and acquiring data for your hydrographic, side scan and magnetometer operations.
Users also get access to HYPACK’s support staff. HYPACK - A Xylem Brand and now part of YSI is a Windows based software for the Hydrographic and Dredging Industry. Tugs and remote viewers can then view their own survey screen, using either a web browser or their own copy of HYPACK.
The HYPACK SURVEY computer on the barge positions all vessels on the user-defined projection with S-57 maps, GeoTIFs and construction drawings in the background. Long range antennae options allow for connections up to 2 miles between vessels. Using the HYPACK-supplied hardware, the GPS position from each secondary vessel is broadcast via a Wi-Fi network, making their position and heading data available to the barge computer. With over 30 years’ experience, and over 10,000 users, HYPACK is a leading provider of hydrographic and dredging software worldwide, supporting over 400 different sensors and devices It provides the Surveyor with all the tools needed to design their survey, collect data, process it, reduce it, and generate final products. Tugs can then receive their own Area Map showing all vessels using a Web Browser, or have additional controls for anchor handling and targeting by having their own HYPACK SURVEY license. HYPACK, A Xylem Brand has been developing HYPACK, HYSWEEP, and DREDGEPACK software solutions since 1984. This integration allows Hypack users to see divers in the water using the Hypack 2D and 3D views. Optional antennas can increase the range from 2km to over 10km. Hypack recently finished a new software module that allows for Diver6 data to be imported into their software suite in near realtime.
Secondary vessels (tugs) are equipped with a Wi-Fi broadcaster which takes their network GPS feed and sends the messages to the Primary vessel (barge). It also allows any remote viewer with a web browser to observe the survey or construction operations on their PC, tablet or cell phone. HYPACK offers a solution to track multiple vessels and share the information across vessels.
